It was Dad's turn to put together Sinterklaas this year, he stayed up WAY too many hours, but it turned out wonderfully. Josh got to play the role of Sinterklaas himself this year and Andrew was Black Pete. It's always a fun get together, but it is amazing to see how much the Beuk family has grown! We hardly fit in a church gymnasium!

The best part was there wasn't any music, so we just sang until the leader stopped, and then drew a number. It works! Turns out you could play this game before there were ipods...or tape players for that matter.
Our taco chili was a big success! This recipe came to be by accident after we had a cupboard full of beans, it was a sunday and we were hungry. I love wonderful surprise recipes that work out like this. :) Here's the recipe, if your hungry.
Getting those little bloomers on Black Pete was NOT easy.
Olivia had been good, so she got a present. Yay!

What a fun party. Your family rocks. We totally spaced Sinterklaas this year and I have been kicking myself for it. Seeing your celebrations makes me especially sad that it passed us by, because it looks so SO MUCH FUN!
